Houston Astros Get Roasted By a U.S Senator During Amy Coney Barrett Hearings

It seems like everyone is getting in on the anti- Houston Astros bandwagon nowadays. Even U.S Senator Ben Sasse, R-Nebraska, had to get in on the fun when given his five minutes to question Amy Coney Barrett for Supreme Court nomination.

“I’d like to talk about the Houston Astros, who are miserable cheaters,” Sasse said as he turned his attention to John Cornyn, who represents Texas. ” I think all baseball fans know that the Astros cheat. They steal signs. They bang on cans. They’ve done a whole bunch of miserable things, historically.”

The Houston Astros are on the verge of complete humiliation. they went 29-31 during the regular season after all the ramifications from their cheating scandal were sent down from the commissioners office. And now, they could be looking at a four-game sweep at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALCS.

To make matters worse, they have to be put through the ringer by politicians during one of the biggest confirmation hearings in many years. If anyone knows anything about cheating and scumming their way to the top, it’s U.S politicians. But we don’t have to get into all of that right now. It is too bad that the Astros didn’t have to endure a real 2020 shame tour with fans in the stands. Hopefully we’ll be able to attend sporting events in 2021, and make the Astros feel like they’re in enemy territory any time they’re away from Houston.

Needless to say, we’re all rooting for the Rays tonight. Even Ben Sasse. Maybe during Amy Coney Barret’s next hearing we can all rejoice in the Astros being swept away by a Rays team with one of the lowest pay rolls in the game of baseball.
