Giannis Antetokounmpo Staying in Milwaukee?

According to numerous sources, it appears as if Giannis Antetokounmpo will re-sign with the Milwaukee Bucks.

It’s all stipulation and heresay, with sources remaining anonymous, but Giannis continues to fuel these rumors with this cryptic tweet posted earlier today.

Without a word, the entire Milwaukee Bucks kingdom went amok interpreting the tweet as a positive sign. Other teams have responded to the rumors by dealing with significant contract extensions.

The Lakers recently re-signed LeBron James and Anthony Davis after their flurry of off-season moves. League sources believed Davis was waiting to sign his extension to leave room for Antetokounmpo on the salary table. Now with his signing, Giannis’ decision may have already been made privately.

Miami has been very vocal about chasing Antetokounmpo in 2021 when he becomes a free agent. But, the franchise extended Bam Adebayo to his first max contract. The other team leading the race is the Dallas Mavericks, who had a quiet offseason.

Antetokounmpo made comments earlier about teaming up with other superstars.

The two-time reigning MVP also stated that LeBron is the greatest basketball player in the world.

So far, Giannis is saying all of the right things in favor of staying in Milwaukee. The recent acquisition of Jrue Holiday may entice his decision to stay home after two flameouts in the postseason. But the offseason hasn’t been a knockout either. Bogdanovic burned Milwaukee in favor of joining Atlanta after disintegrating the potential sign-in-trade.

The Greek Freak’s deadline is December 22, when the season starts.
