ESPN Had To Add Video Of Mitchell Trubisky In Their Draft Video Just To Piss Off Bears Fans

Chicago Bears fans are already bracing for the worst out of GM Ryan Pace during tonight’s NFL Draft after his boneheaded decision to draft Mitchell Trubisky in 2017.

To add insult to injury, ESPN is throwing the Trubisky pick in fans’ faces.

ESPN’s Gene Wojciechowski narrated a hype video (of sorts) prior to the NFL Draft.

“Every year it happens. Ever year, NFL team after NFL team take a quarterback in the draft. Takes a leap of faith. Takes a college kid that might transform their franchise or cripple it for years to come,” Wojciechowski said as a part of ESPN’s draft coverage on Thursday.

When Wojciechowski said ‘cripple for years to come’ the video showed Trubisky shaking hands with Roger Goodell on his Draft Day.

Famously, Ryan Pace drafted Mitchell Trubisky over Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes.

While the two other quarterbacks turned into stars, Trubisky was a bust during his time with the Chicago Bears. The team did not pick up his fifth year option, and he will now serve as Josh Allen’s backup in Buffalo in 2021.

The Bears picked up Andy Dalton, but nobody would be surprised if Ryan Pace takes another quarterback during the NFL Draft to replace Trubisky.

Hopefully it goes a little bit better this time.
