Colin Cowherd Compares Justin Herbert To … Charles Barkley?

I think it’s finally happened, I think Colin Cowherd has officially lost his mind. It’s been a long time coming, and I think we’ve finally reached a point of no return with Cowherd’s latest take. This one just makes no sense. Cowherd was talking about Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert today after the rookie pulled out the win against Jon Gruden’s Raiders in overtime yesterday. Cowherd, known for his comparisons, seems to think that the best comp for the signal caller is NBA legend Charles Barkley.

“Points came easy for Charles Barkley. He can score out, he can score in, he can score in transition, and he could dribble for a big guy,” Cowherd said during his wild rant.

Sideaction’s Latest:

I’ll be honest, I’m not old enough to say that I saw Charles Barkley play, but comparing a football player to a basketball player just seems absurd to me. Cowherd talks about Barkley’s dribbling as a reason why he’s like Justin Herbert. What does dribbling have to do with anything that Justin Herbert has ever done for the Los Angeles Chargers? I’m just completely lost with this argument.

I’ll admit, I can’t really tell if I hate or love Colin Cowherd. He says the most ridiculous things, and I’m constantly scratching my head when I listen to him, but I always come back for more.

Colin Cowherd is truly one of a kind.
