Washington Football team quarterback Dwayne Haskins was released today after a series of bad decisions and poor play plagued his tenure in the nation’s capitol. It seems like everyone had an opinion on what went wrong for Haskins, or why he could never reach his full potential.
Of those opinionated people included ESPN’s Booger McFarland, who got a very psychological with his take on the 23-year-old Haskins.
My message was to all players which I said but specifically to the part of the NFL that’s makes up almost 70% the AA players. And of course I’m not speaking to ALL but in my 20+ years around the NFL I’ve seen to many cases. I stand by what I said whether u agree or disagree pic.twitter.com/6buvIc7Tje

McFarland was heavily criticized on the web for Dwayne Haskins take.
I found this opinion by Booger McFarland in regards to Dwayne Haskins to be really wild. pic.twitter.com/dQsrVygUS7

Booger McFarland needs to step up and be a mentor to young athletes instead of bashing them on national tv pic.twitter.com/ZeBWy8ybtK

Booger McFarland is a fat headed fool. What does race have to do with what Haskins did? Johnny Manziel isn't black.. neither was Chad Kelly?

Booger McFarland just got on national TV and said young black players coming to the NFL focusing too much on their brand 😬😬😬😬. I don't think that's going to age well

We’ll see if Booger McFarland walks back this peculiar take, or if he stands by what he said.
Dwayne Haskins couldn’t cut it as a quarterback for the Washington Football Team, on or off the field, and now he’ll have to wait and see where his next opportunity might come from. Here’s what he had to say after his release.
“My time with Washington has unfortunately come to an end. I thank the team & fans for the opportunity to play for the team I grew up rooting for. I take full responsibility for not meeting the standards of a NFL QB & will become a better man & player because of this experience,” Haskins wrote on his Twitter.
We’ll see if Haskins can make Booger McFarland eat his words in the future. He still has plenty of time left to prove himself.
