Alvin Kamara Fined for Christmas Cleats

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was trying to bring the Christmas spirit to the football field. Unfortunately the NFL was not feeling it,  as they have now fined him for the cleats he wore on Christmas Day. One would think the league would honor the sneakers he scored a record 6 TD’s wearing. The Christmas themed cleats belong in the Hall of Fame not the league office.

“If they fine me, whatever it is, I’ll just match it and donate it to charity,” Kamara said after his historic performance in a 52-33 win over the Minnesota Vikings. “You know, the Grinch always tries to steal Christmas.”

That’s why they call it the No Fun League. Great point about the cleats going into the Hall of Fame, that’s where they belong.

Apparently fines for cleats violations do not go directly to the NFL. They are donated to programs for former players that are mutually agreed up on by the league and the NFLPA prior to each season. The New Orleans Saints should match Alvin Kamara’s fine, just out of the Christmas spirit, maybe it can counter some of the NFL’s “Bah Humbug.”
