Aaron Rodgers’ Future In Green Bay May Depend On Former Teammate Randall Cobb

With Training Camp beginning this week, all eyes are on whether Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will show up or not.

It has been reported all offseason that Rodgers has asked for a trade due to a feud with Green Bay’s front office, and some have indicated that Rodgers was prepared to hold out if his demands were not met.

Despite the noise, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said earlier today that Rodgers has told teammates he plans on reporting to the Packers for one more year.

Shortly after the Aaron Rodgers report dropped, Trey Wingo hinted that Aaron might only be content to re-join the Packers if former receiver Randall Cobb is joining him.

Randall Cobb is currently a member of the Houston Texans, who appear to be rebuilding (but who really knows what they’re up to over there).

Sure, Aaron Rodgers seems like a real pain in the ass for any team to have to deal with. But if he wants Cobb back that badly, wouldn’t you think the Packers have to go for it?

The Packers in the business of winning, and getting Aaron Rodgers to a point where he’s happy enough in Green Bay to give it his all obviously gives them the greatest opportunity to do just that.

If getting Aaron Rodgers to show up means giving up a little capital for Randall Cobb, then you gotta do it if you’re Green Bay.
