Aaron Rodgers Reportedly is Leaning Towards His Decision

Aaron Rodgers is leaning towards a return to Green Bay.

The Green Bay Packers QB has not made his intentions known as of yet, but latest reports indicate he is leaning toward re-signing with the Packers.

“Based on all of my conversations over the last several weeks, whether it’s close to the Packers organization or people close to Rodgers, this still feel like the momentum is decisively leaning toward Aaron Rodgers returning to Green Bay,” Darlington said. “This goes back to the day that they hired Tom Clements as the quarterbacks coach. That was the big one here. That was the first shoe to drop, essentially saying the Packers are going to do the things that Aaron Rodgers wants to happen.

“Everybody I’ve talked to says the conversations since the end of the season have been positive and optimistic. If they get Davante Adams done, I believe there will be reassurances that Randall Cobb will be done. And of course the contract, which the Packers also are willing to adjust to make Rodgers happy. As long as this thing doesn’t go sideways, this still feels to me that Aaron Rodgers will return to the Packers.”

Earlier this year on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers provided a timeline for when he thought he would make a decision on what is next.

“I’d like to, again, be respectful of the organization,” Rodgers said. “I think the most, you know, one decision that will be upcoming will be, obviously, Davante (Adams) and his future with the team. There still is this thing called the franchise tag. Which, I don’t think 17 wants the franchise tag. No player ever wants the franchise tag. But that decision on that, I believe, is in February, in late February.

“I think that should be enough time to make a decision by then. I don’t want to put myself on a specific date, but again, I do want to be sensitive to Davante and many other guys who, you know, have decisions to make on their own futures. And to drag it out past free agency would be disrespectful to the organization and to those guys, and that 100% will not happen.”

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers appear to be on the same page for now.

But while there was some speculation that he wouldn’t return following the Packer’s elimination in the playoffs, it sounds like they’re going to run it back once again.

Rodgers is the King of the North, might as well remain there.
