Is Baker Mayfield any closer to finding a new team?

The Carolina Panthers are reportedly interested in Baker Mayfield’s services. Right now they’re starting QB is Sam Darnold, so yea they are always going to be looking elsewhere. But clearly Baker doesn’t move the needle for them. There is no deal in place, and according to the report, there’s no urgency at all.

According to a report, the Panthers’ interest in the Browns quarterback is simply “due diligence.”

The Panthers are also taking a close look at Jimmy G, which might be a better fit.

The Panthers will select sixth overall later this month and you have to figure something will shake out before they make their pick.

Looks like more waiting around for Mayfield.
