Bruce Arians Speaks On How Much Longer He Sees Tom Brady Playing Football

Tom versus Time continues on.

Tom Brady is really doing his best to beat Father Tine, as he’s by far the oldest player in the NFL by a landslide. Strangely enough, his play is as strong as ever, and weirdly he almost looks better now than he did while playing for the New England Patriots. Many ponder when the future Hall of Fame quarterback will retire. Former head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Bruce Arians has an idea on when Tom will officially hang up the cleats.

During a guest appearance on Pardon My Take, Bruce Arians was asked about how much gas he thinks Tom Brady has in the tank. The superstar quarterback has stated before that he wants to retire at 45 years old, which would be at the end of this season. However, the former Bucs coach could see Brady playing a few more years.

“With Tom, nothing surprises me. Because he’s in such unbelievable shape. Like I said, he’s throwing the ball better than he did two years ago. So much of it is his personal life. I think you’ve got decisions. But as far as being able to play, he can still play.”

Arians doesn’t see him playing to 50 years old like some believe he’s capable of, via Pewter Report. “I don’t know about five [years], but a couple for sure.”

Given Tom’s recent break from training camp, this does kind of feel like his last season, mostly due to  his family obligations. The pressure for him to hang it up feels very internal.
