Baker Mayfield Admits ‘Most Likely Option’ For His Next Team

After falling out of the public eye in the aftermath of the Browns’ deal for Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield is ready to speak out.

During a podcast appearance, Mayfield opened up about how he felt “disrespected” by how the Browns went about their business prior to the blockbuster trade.

“I feel disrespected — 100%,” he said. “Because I was told one thing and they completely did another. That’s what I’m in the middle of right now. I’ve had 4 different head coaches in four years. A bunch of different coordinators.”

Baker Mayfield would also reveal where he thinks he’s going to end up next season.

At first, he said he thought he’d be going to the Colts. But now that Indy landed Matt Ryan via trade, he admitted that the most logical landing spot would be with the Seahawks.

As it stands, nobody has met the Browns’ asking price to land Baker Mayfield in a trade. And at this point, it seems more likely that potential suitors are waiting for him to receive his outright release.

The Seattle Seahawks traded away Russell Wilson for Denver’s Drew lock — who appears in line to be the team’s QB1 heading in to camp.

But when (or if) Baker Mayfield comes available, don’t be surprised if the Seahawks decided to kick the tires.
