Aaron Rodgers Trending After Losing Another Offensive Weapon On Thursday

Even if Aaron Rodgers ultimately decided to stick in Green Bay for the foreseeable future, it still hasn’t been a great offseason for the Packers.

After refusing to play on a franchise tag, Davante Adams was traded away to the Raiders. And in the latest move, another free agent receiver has found a new home, as well.

On Thursday, it was reported that Marquez Valdes-Scantling had agreed to a deal with the Chiefs in wake of the Tyreek Hill trade.

Shortly after the news dropped, it was revealed that Aaron Rodgers made it known to his inner circle that he intended to play with Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scatling no matter where he was next season.

It’s hard to imagine that Aaron Rodgers is just OK with the team getting rid of his two favorite targets in the same offense — especially after all the noise we’ve heard from his front over the past two years.

But in the end, money speaks louder than anything. And the Packers were able to make Rodgers the highest paid QB in the NFL after his latest extension.

Now, the Packers still have an elite talent in Aaron Rodgers. But they’re going to need some serious moves to build a contending team around his talents after losing key pieces this offseason.
