Kevin Durant wants out.
Only problem is he’s currently under contract, one that the Nets have every right to hold him to. While speaking to reporters recently, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver broke his silence on the KD subject. Silver doesn’t like these trade requests at all. He finds it to be distracting to the product on the court and that it’s ultimately an issue that will be brought during the next CBA negotiations.
We don’t like to see players requesting trades and seeing it play out the way it is,” Silver said per reporter Ben Golliver. “The basketball was fantastic this past season. I don’t want to be naïve, but I would love the focus to be on the play.”

The NBA has become a player’s league, with the power turning to the players over the owners.
But no one forces any of these guys to sign the contracts.
Something is definitely broken with the system, it’s Silvers job to fix it.
