Tom Brady Getting Dragged for Reportedly Being On Texting Terms With Governor Ron DeSantis

The Tom Brady slander continues.

For many years Tom Brady was friendly with Donald Trump, definitely they were close enough that he had a Trump hat spotted in his locker when he was a member of the New England Patriots. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback now appears to be on good terms with another Republican. According to the New York Times, Brady is text message buddies with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champion, has for years been the subject of public affection from former President Donald J. Trump. But according to Tim Michels, the Republican nominee for Wisconsin governor, Mr. Brady is now on texting terms with another Republican seen as a White House contender: Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida.

Mr. Michels continued: “I say, ‘Who are you texting with?’ He says, ‘I’m texting with Tom Brady.’ The governor of Florida gets to text with Tom Brady.”

DeSantis attended a Green Bay Packers football game last month and spent part of the game texting with Brady, according to Michels.

“DeSantis, who on the day of the Packers game had appeared at a rally for Michels and Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., “had never been to Lambeau Field before and he wanted to go,” Michels said. “We’re sitting there, you know, we’re watching the game and all of a sudden, I look over and he’s texting and he says, ‘How do you spell Lambeau?’”

What DeSantis and Brady were discussing is still a mystery, but he’s the Governor in Tom’s home state, so there’s that.

DeSantis is reportedly a serious candidate for president in the 2024 election. Following the revelation,  Tom got absolutely torched for being on text terms with DeSantis.

Tom Brady and the Bucs are now under .500  following a brutal loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Tom went  32-of-49 for 290 yards, the former Patriots quarterback is starting to look like a man who will certainly hang it up after this season, especially if they miss the playoffs.

Might Tom be getting some tips on a political run post football?
