Tim Tebow Is Still Committed To His Career As A Baseball Player

Tim Tebow has played three seasons in the Mets minor league farm system. Baseball hasn’t been the brightest part of the former quarterback’s career, however, he still looks committed to making a name for himself on the ball field. Tim Tebow’s baseball career was put on hold earlier this year thanks to the coronavirus. But According to Mets president Sandy Alderson, it isn’t over just yet.

Alderson talked about Tebow’s potential return to the diamond in a recent interview with the New York Post. He made it clear that Tim Tebow does have intentions of coming back to play for the Mets organization.

“So I talked to Tim Saturday, in between Florida football and some other SEC [broadcasting] obligations,” Alderson said. “He’s anxious to come back. And I told Tim, ‘Look, why would you want to end your quest based on a COVID-related reason? You didn’t get a chance to perform this year.’ He was hurt a little bit the previous year. So I think Tim is committed to coming back. And I think we’re committed to giving him an opportunity to do that and we’ll see where it goes.”

Tim Tebow hasn’t found much success as a baseball player, but he was improving last season before an injury knocked him out for the rest of the year. It is unlikely that Tebow ever makes it to the majors, but if there is one thing you can say about him is that he is persistent. Maybe he will surprise us all and make his way to an MLB roster after all. Whatever the case, Tim Tebow hasn’t given up on a baseball career quite yet.
