Strip Club Fine Lit A Fire Under Kevin Porter Jr.

Rockets Kevin Porter Jr. channeled his inner James Harden last night. He proved to everyone that clubbing and basketball go hand-in-hand. Just about 24 hours after getting heavily fined for breaking protocol by going to the strip club, Porter absolutely exploded for a career-high 50 points. Rob Perez took to Twitter to perfectly capture the feelings of the fans in Houston right now.

Kevin Porter Jr. added 11 assists and 5 rebounds to his 50 point scoring night. The 20-year-old was an absolute monster as he helped the Rockets get a W over the Milwaukee Bucks. He became the fourth-youngest player in the NBA to record a 50 point scoring night. He’s also now the youngest player in league history to score at least 50 points and dish out 10 or more assists since LeBron James who did it back in 2008.

Kevin Porter Jr. was issued a $50,000 fine by the NBA for violating protocol and going to the club in Miami with teammate Sterling Brown. He was also asked to quarantine right after which forced him to miss three straight games. Thursday was just his second game back as his interesting 2020-21 campaign continues.

Apparently, no amount of money is capable of keeping Kevin Porter Jr. from performing at a high level. The Rockets will have a few days off before hosting the Golden State Warriors next Tuesday. Maybe Kevin Porter Jr. will try and secretly try and slip in another trip to the club this weekend. However, that’s probably not a good idea.
