Steve Sarkisian Is Already Posing With Cheerleaders In Texas

Last night he was the offensive coordinator for Alabama’s National Championship victory, but Steve Sarkisian didn’t have much time to celebrate. Today, it was simply on to the big job. Sark took the head coach position with the University of Texas Longhorns, where he’ll look to build a championship-caliber program in Austin.

From the looks of it, Sarkisian is already getting acquainted.

If you’re a Texas Longhorns fan, you have to be jacked up about the Steve Sarkisian hire. The guy has proven time and time again that he is one of the best offensive minds in the game of football. His Alabama offenses consistently ranked at the top of the nation, and his work with Mac Jones was phenomenal.

Sarkisian’s offense was on full display last night when the Crimson Tide trounced Ohio State in the National Championship 52-24. The offense set College Football Playoff records for most points in a title game, most points in a half (35), most passing yards in a title game, and most receptions in a title game (Smith,12).

Steve Sarkisian has been a head coach at Washington and USC, going a combined 46-35. He’s hoping that he’ll have a little bit more success with Texas. The Longhorns have not won in Big 12 Title in the past decade. Sark is going to have his work cut out for him at the University of Texas, if he wants to compete with Lincoln Riley and the Oklahoma Sooners in the division.
