Stanford Football Has An Interesting Answer For Filling Stadium Without Fans

We’ve now seen it all. After witnessing how Stanford football has filled the void of not having fans at their stadium, what could be left? We saw the MLB use cardboard cutouts to fill their empty seats. Stanford has a different idea and they rolled it out for the opening weekend of PAC-12 football in their game against the Colorado Buffaloes.

Yeah, Stanford has decided to put real trees in their stadium. I know, I know, the Stanford mascot is a tree. I get it. It’s still a little weird. On top of that, they are also putting some cardboard cutouts in there.

Among the cutouts are Alex Rodriguez and J-Lo. I guess they are BIG Stanford fans. Former one-term Republican president Herbert Hoover, a notable Stanford man, can also be seen in the cutout crowd.

Stanford is currently taking on the Colorado Buffaloes on their home turf. This is the first weekend of Pac-12 football.
