Packers WR Devin Funchess Says Asian Slur During Press Conference, Later Apologizes

Green Bay Packers WR Devin Funchess is in hot water after using an Asian slur during one of his recent press conferences.

Funchess said he could see some of the reporters smiling but then stated that “everybody go c—ky.”

Funchess released a statement apologizing for his “disparaging remark” he used.

The Packers WR is coming off a missed year where he opted-out of last season. Funchess signed a new one-year deal in March of 2021 with the Packers for $2.5 million.

Funchess was a second round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2015 where he played until 2018 and then signed with the Colts in 2019. He has not been as productive as anticipated coming out of College, but hopes to make his mark with the Packers and Aaron Rodgers.
