NBA Players Shocked at Dame Lillard’s Performance in Game 5

Damian Lillard nailed 3-pointer after 3-pointer on Tuesday night, finishing with 55 points and almost leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a huge comeback victory against the Denver Nuggets. Instead, the Nuggets held off the Blazers in double overtime, winning 147-140 to take a 3-2 series edge. Lillard became the first player in NBA playoff history to score for 55 points with double-digit assists. He also hit an NBA playoff-record 12 3’s.

Lillard’s game was one of the most electrifying postseason performances in NBA history.

Lillard hit 17 of 24 shots, 12 of 17 3’s and 9 of 10 free throws.

Lillard also had a steal, three blocks and one turnover in 51 minutes.
