The Brooklyn Nets have had some defensive issues as of late, but they are a lock to beat the Pistons, right? Nope.
The Nets issues were magnified against a last-place Detroit Pistons team. Thanks in large part to a 32-point performance from Jerami Grant, the Pistons were able to pull off the massive upset against the Nets.
After game many fans have taken to social media to troll the talented Nets team.
The Nets have been painful to watch without Kevin Durant.

Like a different world when going from watching the Nets to the Knicks…and I mean this as a complete compliment to the Knicks here. One team defends like crazy and one team doesn’t give a damn.

Nets giving up 117 actually pretty good. Something to build on. Pistons are a juggernaut https://t.co/rKDPsBoW0W

The Brooklyn Nets have now lost their past three games, and don’t seem to be handling the absence of Kevin Durant very well. They’re also just not a very sound defensive team. When James Harden was traded to Brooklyn to join Kyrie and KD, we knew they’d be one of the most talented teams in the NBA. We also knew they would go through some growing pains.
Those pains are on full display right now, and KD isn’t there to mask the team’s problems. I still wouldn’t panic if I was a Nets fan. We’re still far away from the end of the season, and it’ll take some time for everything to gel. That defense is really going to have to improve if they want to be taken seriously come playoffs time, though.
