Floyd Mayweather Gave An IG Live Tour Of His House And It’s Crazier Than Your Wildest Rich Guy Fever Dreams

It seems like Floyd Mayweather is almost 100% retired by this point. It wouldn’t shock me if he came back for one last easy payday but, for now, it’s hard to imagine a fight of that scale there for him. And when you take a look at Floyd’s house, which he did an Instagram Live tour of, you can see that the man doesn’t want for much:

All sorts of fancy cars ranging from Rolls Royces to Bentleys, multiple elevators, a gigantic fountain in a courtyard … this is what opulence is. But one thing really stood out to me amidst this tour of the sickest house I think any of us could imagine:

These closets. Are you kidding me? I’m not a sneaker head by any stretch and I probably wear some version of the same five things more often than not. But to not only have that much space and that display of just shoes is insane to me. You’re probably talking seven figures in shoes alone in that room, let alone the cost of the tasteful lighting and design.

It’s sort of like the old John Mulaney bit about Donald Trump where he describes pre-President Trump a being a hobo’s vision of what a rich guy must be like. That’s me every second that I’m on this virtual tour of Floyd Mayweather’s house. I want more cars, more random elevators, more gigantic marble columns somewhere between a Roman coliseum and a mafia Don’s house. And every time I want more, Floyd provides. Outdoor pools, indoor pools. I’m surprised he doesn’t have a little person in a bow tie like Fantasy Island to top it all off.

Two things I feel like are noteworthy exclusions: 1) An indoor basketball court. To me that was always the dream situation and for a guy who loves all sports, and is frequently courtside, like Floyd, I’d have thought he has one for show if nothing else. 2) Some sort of slide that connects rooms. He’s got kids and I just think it’d be fun to have a slide somewhere in the house amidst his hotel lobby amount of elevators. Maybe a little Willy Wonka adjacent but we can make it a gold plated or marble slide if that better fits his aesthetics.

Either way, it’s probably safe to say that Floyd’s living situation is better than ours. Closer to resembling The Shining too. Life’s all about trade-offs.
