Charlotte Hornet point guard LaMelo Ball has completely taken the NBA by storm in his first season.
The popular phenom has earned a spot in Charlotte’s starting rotation, and has impressed.
On the year, Ball is averaging 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.59 steals. That’s why today’s news is so hard. LaMelo Ball suffered a fractured wrist, and is likely to miss the remainder of the season.

People have taken to Twitter to share the disappointment in LaMelo Ball’s season ending this way.
Bron out indefinitely. Melo fractures his wrist. Might as well simulate the rest of the season. This shit is sick.

Luckily for the Charlotte Hornets, LaMelo is still young. There is no doubt in my mind that he’ll come back from this injury just fine, and have a bright future.
It seems like LaMelo Ball will be a star in the NBA for a long time coming, but it sucks that we won’t be able to watch him for the rest of the year.
Get well soon, Melo.
