Michael Thomas Calls Out Refs During Sunday Night Football

Even though New Orleans Saints superstar wide receiver, Michael Thomas, wasn’t playing, he was still very active during Sunday Night Football. Thomas sat out the game against the Packers due to a high ankle sprain.

With the game tied 20-20 late in the third quarter on a third-and-two, Aaron Rodgers faked a handoff and connected with tight end Marcedes Lewis. The play in question involved Lewis separating from Saints safety, Michael Jenkins, and readjusting to snag an 18-yard touchdown. It looked as if it could have easily been offensive pass interference. Thomas certainly was of the opinion that it was.

Michael Thomas was not too happy about the lack of a call, and showed his feelings on Twitter:

Michael Thomas isn’t wrong, but calling out refs on Twitter while you’re rehabbing a sore ankle isn’t going to do anyone any good.

Thomas should worry more about Drew Brees’ inability to throw the football down the field.
