When Dak Prescott signed with the Cowboys, that left two high profile QB’s who are looking for a change of scenery. Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson are now the main focus on teams looking for a QB. Apparently the Dolphins are one of the teams who really, really want Watson. Clearly they’re not sold on Tua.
According to Chris Simms, Miami is willing to go all out in order to land Deshaun.
“I do think that Miami is going to go all-in on trying to get Deshaun Watson. I do,” he said on Tuesday’s ProFootballTalk Live podcast. “I got that sense from people I trust around the league. So I don’t look at them as drafting a quarterback.”
If the Texans truly believe Watson won’t suit up, then they’ll eventually trade him, but at this point, they’re still taking the stance he’s their QB.
Watson would stand to lose around $20 million if he sits out the season, so things should get interesting soon enough.
