Lebron James Salutes Bubba Wallace For BLM Themed Car Paint

PREVIOUSLY: NASCAR To Ban Confederate Flags At Races After Bubba Wallace Publicly Called For Their Removal

Bubba Wallace will drive a special Black Lives Matter-themed car for tonight’s NASCAR race at Martinsville Speedway and Lebron James is supporting the cause.

Wallace, NASCAR’s only African-American driver, wore an “I Can’t Breathe, Black Lives Matter” shirt on Sunday in Atlanta and has taken the cause to his car. The car is painted black and features a black and white hand interlocked with the words “Compassion, Love, Understanding” written bellow. Wallace did an interview with his sponsor, Richard Petty Motorsports, where he discussed the car and the cause.

We’re just a couple days removed from Wallace declaring that NASCAR should ban Confederate flags at all tracks and the league has conceded. “No one should feel uncomfortable when they come to a NASCAR race. It starts with Confederate flags,” Wallace told CNN. “Get them out of here. They have no place for them.” It’s hard to believe those things are still flying today, but I’m glad NASCAR put an end to it on their turf.

Wallace will be starting in the 23rd position tonight at Martinsville. King James is pulling for him, and you should be too.
