LaVar Ball Trying to Manifest Playing Michael Jordan On Pay Per View

Is Michael Jordan going to play LaVar Ball on Pay per view? The biggest mouth in the NBA has once again been reignited by his son being drafted by the Charlotte Hornets.  And the NBA biggest rivalry that never was continues to  heat up.  Of course we’re talking about Michael Jordan versus LaVar Ball.

LaVar Ball once said he could beat the GOAT in a game of one on one.  That feels like centuries ago. But now the talk about them actually playing each other is back.

In a story about the Ball family’s draft night night on Wednesday, LaVar addressed the idea of facing the GOAT and allowing it to be watched by fans, which would be must-see television.

Via ESPN:

LaVar, quiet no longer, is accepting congratulations and telling the room, “Tell MJ: Here we come! Tell MJ we’re coming!” LaVar punctuates his proclamations by raising both arms in the air. Michael Jordan, the man LaVar famously claimed he could beat in a one-on-one, is the owner of the Hornets and now his son’s boss. LaVar tells me the world might finally get to see that one-on-one, but first he has to discuss the business side with Jordan: pay-per-view, guaranteed money, that kind of thing. He laughs and says, “Hey, if people are willing to pay to see 50-year-old Mike Tyson fight, why not?” He likes the idea of Jordan guiding his son. “Greatness recognizes greatness,” he says. “I always told my boys, ‘Someone has to be better than the best — why not you?’”

As ridiculous as this sounds, it would be one of the most hyped sporting events of all time.  There’s no doubt plenty of people would be willing to  pay $99.99 to watch Michael Jordan destroy LaVar Ball.

But we know MJ has nothing to gain by playing the helicopter parent. But wow would that be amazing if this one day actually happened.
