LaVar Ball Makes A Daring Statement About The Future Of His Sons In The NBA

By now it is clear that no interview with LaVar Ball would be complete without him making an absurd claim. But LaVar is going to be LaVar and doesn’t seem like he plans to stop anytime soon. His newest claim involves the future destinations of all three of his sons. During his appearance this week on The Truth Podcast, LaVar Ball stated, “All three are set to go to Charlotte, I can guarantee it.”

It seems that LaVar Ball has departed from his previous claim that all three of his sons would play together on the Los Angeles Lakers. Charlotte isn’t quite LA, however, this isn’t quite a complete 180. It does seem like a strange time to make such a claim when LiAngelo just got cut by the Pistons. But at this point, nothing LaVar Ball says can really come as a surprise.

LaMelo, who already plays for the Hornets, has made quite the splash in his appearances in the preseason. He obviously isn’t scared of the spotlight as he is already taunting his opponents on the court. LaVar was asked who he would compare LaMelo to and he came up with a name that many believe belongs in the hall of fame. “If I’m comparing Melo to anybody It’s gonna be Penny Hardaway,” said LaVar Ball. “Long lanky frame, athletic, can pass that ball, and do what he wants. Penny’s the only one.”

Of course, LaVar Ball also compared LaMelo to Michael Jordan, so as always it is hard to take his words literally. You can listen to the full episode of The Truth Podcast below if you think you can handle that much of LaVar Ball. I’ll leave that up to you.
