Lamelo Ball Gifted a Rolls Royce Truck Before Being Drafted

LaMelo Ball was selected third overall by the Charlotte Hornets in last night’s NBA Draft. Most lottery pick selectees wait until after the draft to buy the new car, but not LaMelo Ball. If you’re LaMelo Ball you got your Rolls Royce before the draft even started. The moment was captured for the Facebook show “Ball in the Family.”

The youngest of the Ball brothers was gifted the brand new Rolls Royce SUV before Wednesday’s draft by his pops, LaVar Ball. With LaVar acting as the ringleader of the reveal – at one point even making sure the car was facing the right way – the cameras were rolling, as usual.

LaMelo Ball’s Puma sneaker deal is reportedly worth $100 million, according to Esquire. Opportunities abound for the potential star, who already has a popular platform in “Ball in the Family.” LaMelo Ball seems likely to expand on the popularity of his brother and notoriety of his father as he makes his own way in the NBA.

As the third overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft, Spotrac estimates that Ball’s rookie contract will be worth an estimated $16.1 million over the first two years.

Not too bad for a kid who hasn’t even played one NBA game.
