Kirk Herbstreit Wants NCAA To Ban Players From Taking Their Shirts Off During Pregame Warmups

Sometimes it takes a fight to shake things up. A crazy sidelines fight broke out Thursday afternoon between Mississippi State and Tulsa during the Armed Forces Bowl. The skirmish was brewing pregame too.

ESPN’s college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit had a good idea why the fight actually started. He believes it had something to do with players having their  shirts off before the game. His plan? Ban players from taking of their shirts before the game, because in his opinion, it leads to fights.

“I think we all agree this is an embarrassment not only for these two teams but for college football,”. “We see this more and more in college football … coming out in pregame without a shirt on. That needs to be banned in college football. That’s just not coming out with your shirts off. That’s sending a message to your opponent.
