Jayson Tatum Loses $33 Million Thanks to All NBA Team Vote Technicality

Bonuses can be major incentive to ball out, but for a few NBA guys, that Bonus didn’t work out. The three 2020-21 All-NBA teams were announced on Tuesday, and a couple notable names were left off: Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell. And it cost them both a boatload of money, about $33 million each.

Had they been named to an All NBA team, they would have been swimming in money.

If either of these two made the All-NBA this season, the extension they each signed this past offseason would’ve been worth $196 million over four years.

Now Mitchell and Tatum will make $163 million.

Not exactly chump change, but still, $33 million is a pretty big deal.

Tatum has to be pissed, he really got screwed out of the money over a technicality.
