Patrick Mahomes and the entire Chiefs team got their Super Bowl Championship rings on Tuesday. After the ceremony, his high school sweetheart and longtime girlfriend, Brittany Matthews posted a photo of some lights spelling out “Will you marry me?” followed by a photo of a ring that only one person in Kansas can afford.

Good for them. They both seem like genuinely good people and that’s pretty rare in this horrible world. She’s been with him since high school and I think if you can get past all of those awkward stages in life together, you’ve got a better chance than most couples. People on the internet also love to make fun of her or tweet at her for being annoying because she gets excited about his games, and those people can come fight me.
