NBA “Monstars” Released in Space Jam: A New Legacy Trailer

All of the nostalgia comes flowing back to me when I hear the words “Space Jam.” The 1996 movie that starred NBA icon Michael Jordan was one of my favourites growing up. On Saturday morning, Warner Brothers released the official trailer for the new Space Jam: A New Legacy movie.

The movie is set to come out in theatres and HBO Max on July 16th, 2021. The trailer also highlighted the expected “Monstars”. Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Diana Taurasi, and Klay Thompson all appear to try and beat LeBron James and the Toon Squad.

Only time will tell if the New Legacy follow up will be remembered as much as the original Space Jam.
