Even With Andy Dalton Catching COVID-19, The Cowboys Will Not Roll With Ben DiNucci At QB

It was fun while it lasted Ben DiNucci. Well, not really. After DiNucci’s abysmal showing against the Eagles, he will not be the Cowboys starter this week. The Cowboys expected to have Andy Dalton back from his concussion this week, but now the veteran QB has contracted COVID-19.

So, bad news continues to hit the Dallas Cowboys and their fans. It looks like they’ll be going with either Cooper Rush or Garrett Gilbert against the Steelers instead of sending DiNucci back out there.

I guess Jerry Jones had enough of watching his QB throw passes like this.

It was an eventful week for DiNucci, the seventh round draft pick out of James Madison. First he finds out he’s going to be playing the most prominent position in all of sports (starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys), and then some of his old tweets blew up in his face.

Now, DiNucci can chill. The spotlight will be off of him. Frankly, I’m not sure we’ll ever see or hear of him in the NFL again.

The Cowboys will turn to Cooper Rush or Garrett Gilbert against the undefeated Steelers, and they will probably lose by 50. Should be fun.
