DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry Reportedly Interested in Joining Lakers

DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry reportedly want to team up again, and this time they have their sights set on playing for the Lakers. The San Antonio Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan and Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry have both expressed interest in joining the Los Angeles Lakers according to The Los Angeles Times.

Via LA Times:

“DeRozan, who starred at Compton High and USC, has interest in returning home to play for the Lakers, even if it is for less than the $27.7 million he earned last season in San Antonio, according to people not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

Though the Lakers didn’t acquire Lowry at the trade deadline, he remains interested in joining them, according to people with knowledge of his situation.”

The Lakers definitely need to overhaul their roster if they want to continue to compete. At this point as long as they have a healthy LeBron and AD, they’ll be able to compete as long as they have good pieces in place around them.

DeRozan averaged 21.6 points, 6.9 assists last season with the Spurs.

Lowry averaged 17.2 points, 7.3 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game. They’re not exactly in their primes, but they’re very solid players.
