To me, this was a no-brainer for Jerry Jones. He simply had to lock up Dak Prescott. With Dak, the Cowboys know they should be the favorites to win the lackluster NFL East for many years to come, barring something unforeseen. Just look at the other quarterbacks in the division. Daniel Jones and Jalen Hurts are both average (at best), and Washington is still frantically searching for their quarterback.
Dak Prescott might not be Patrick Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers, but he’ll win you a lot of football games. Good move by both sides.
