Blue Jays Pitcher Robbie Ray Heated Exchange With Orioles Manager Brandon Hyde

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Robbie Ray was on the mound last night for their first game of the 3-game series in Baltimore this weekend, and it sure got heated.

In the bottom of the 2nd inning, while the Orioles had already taken a 3-0 lead and had men on 1st and 3rd base with none out, Ray stepped off the plate to acknowledge the Orioles Manager Brandon Hyde as he was yelling that he “can’t do anything” and for Ray to “pitch the f*cking ball”.

Ray looked quite annoyed during the exchange as it, but he ended up striking out Richie Martin with a 96 mph fastball on the very next pitch. The exchange continued after the out when Ray looked down to the manager after the punch out and Hyde asked “what the f*ck you looking at, get back to your mound.” Which then results in maybe the best even of the whole thing. Ray then motions for Hyde to come out of the dugout and fight him. Hyde then responds by saying “we ain’t saying sh*t here.”

You really have to love those hot mics. Everyone wants to hear what the players are saying to each other, even if it is something nice. Someone needs to make it more of a thing.

The Orioles won the 6-3 as the Blue Jays remain a half game back of the Yankees for the Wildcard play-in game.
