Allen Robinson Hints That He’d Like To Leave The Bears In Free Agency

Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson has been the subject of a lot of talk all season long. With his contract expiring at the end of the year, many were expecting the Bears to get something done with their best offensive weapon. Unfortunately, Robinson has maintained that he wants top-dollar, and the Bears front office has not budged.

After the Bears got blown out by the Saints in the playoffs yesterday, Allen Robinson will now head for free agency. Of course, the Bears could always place the franchise tag on him, but that would probably lead to a whole situation, and maybe a holdout. Robinson simply wants to get paid, and he wants to get paid for the long term. If Chicago isn’t the place to offer him the contract he’s looking for, he’ll take his talents elsewhere.

In his end-of-the-year presser, A-Rob hinted that he thinks his time in Chicago has come to an end.

“I personally feel like we had an opportunity to get something done over the past 365 days,” Allen Robinson said. He would add that, “everything is on the table.”

Sideaction’s Latest:

Allen Robinson had another dominant year on the field, catching 102 passes for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns. During his career in the NFL, Robinson has played for the Jaguars and the Bears, and has never had quality quarterback play.

It looks like this is the end of the road for Allen Robinson in Chicago, as the Bears look to rebuild their identity in the offseason and Robinson looks to get his bag.
