Adam Schefter Drops Latest Aaron Rodgers Prediction

The Aaron Rodgers guessing game continues. Nobody knows what the future holds for Aaron Rodgers in the NFL, not even NFL insider Adam Schefter, but Adam Schefter does have a prediction. The NFL Insider’s thoughts on the Rodgers situation in Green Bay probably won’t make Packers fans too happy.

Schefty thinks Rodgers is not going to be back under his current contract.

"My own opinion is I don't think we'll see Aaron Rodgers show up in Green Bay with 3 years left on the contract as it currently stands. … There has to be, I think … some sort of stipulation that makes it clear that the Packers will trade him after the season."

It still seems like Rodgers wants out of Green Bay. He’s been pretty quiet all offseason, and recently explained why:

“Sometimes, the loudest person in the room is not the smartest person. Sometimes the loudest person in the room is not the person who has all the facts on their side or the truth on their side,” Rodgers said. “Sometimes there’s a lot of wisdom in silence. Sometimes there’s a lot of wisdom in being selective on what you say. This offseason I’ve spent a lot of time working on myself.”

Can there be a situation where Aaron returns contingent upon the Packers trading him after the season?

That feels like a pretty tough deal to negotiate.
