Aaron Rodgers Back To Being Tied To Jeopardy! Gig After New Host Steps Away

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers fueled speculation that he might retire this offseason when he made a guest appearance on the popular show, “Jeopardy!”.

Rodgers made his intention clear that he would love to take on the role on a full-time, basis. And now, he just might get his wish.

Unfortunately for Aaron Rodgers, executive producer Mike Richards and actress Mayim Bialik were named as the successors to Alex Trebek, but Richards recently announced his plans to step down after some controversial comments.

“Over the last several days it has become clear that moving forward as host would be too much of a distraction for our fans and not the right move for the show,” Richards said in a note to the “Jeopardy!” staff on Friday. “As such, I will be stepping down as host effective immediately. As a result, we will be canceling production today.”

Immediately, fans began linking Aaron Rodgers to the full-time Jeopardy! host role.

Aaron Rodgers has said that he ‘definitely’ would have taken the Jeopardy! job if it were offered to him.

“Yes, I definitely would have [accepted the job],” Rodgers said via PFT. “I mean, if they would have figured out a way to make it work with my schedule, yeah, for sure.”

Aaron Rodgers seems to think that he could be the Jeopardy! host while also being an NFL quarterback.

But what if he had to choose between one or the other?
