Trea Turner Going Viral For His Ridiculously Slick Slide Into Home

Los Angeles Dodgers trade deadline acquisition Trea Turner should prove to be a vital piece of an LA team looking for back-to-back championships.

And on Tuesday night, Turner showcased a little bit of what makes him such a dynamic player.

In the sixth inning of the game against the Phillies, Trea Turner was on second when catcher Will Smith scorched a line drive to right field. Turner raced home in the blink of an eye, and used a crazy pop-up slide where his hand was the only part of his body to come down and hit the plate.

After the absurd move, Trea walked off like it was just business as usual.

On Monday night into Tuesday, fans were reacting and making memes about Trea Turner’s ridiculous slide.

The Dodgers would go on to beat the surging Phillies 5-0 on Tuesday, and appear to be hitting their stride at the right time.

With the moves to go get Max Scherzer and Trea Turner, the Dodgers have won six of their last ten games, but still sit four games behind the Giants in the NL West.

While the Giants have been surprisingly awesome this season, I would expect the Dodgers to make their push for the division any time now.

Their roster is just too good, and Trea Turner is only going to make it better down the stretch.
