Russell Wilson Praises Jesus Following Massive Five Year, $265 Million Dollar Extension With Denver Broncos

Let’s ride.

Former Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson hasn’t played a single down for the Denver Broncos yet, but his new team is obviously all in on the former Wisconsin Badgers QB. Russell Wilson just got a massive financial commitment from his new squad. Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos  agreed on Thursday to a five-year, $265 million contract extension, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. The new deal includes $165 million guaranteed and ties Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos through his age-40 season.

“Broncos and Russell Wilson just reached agreement on a five-year, $245 million contract extension that includes $165 million guaranteed, sources tell ESPN.

Deal now ties Wilson to Denver for seven total years and $296 million. Another massive QB deal in the books.”

The new contract makes Russell Wilson the second highest-paid quarterback in the NFL in terms of average annual value of salary. His $49 million per year is just a tick below the $50.2 million Aaron Rodgers earns with the Green Bay Packers.

Wilson took to Twitter to react to the massive extension,  and of course to show oraise for Jesus:

The Denver Broncos acquired Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for two first-round picks, two second-round picks and then some. They have made a massive investment in the nine-time Pro Bowler.

It sounds like they’re all in on letting Russ cook until he’s 40.
