Report: Marital Woes Responsible for Tom Brady’s Excused Absence From Buccaneers Training Camp

It looks like Tom Brady and Gisele have hit a rough patch.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterback Tom Brady didn’t expand much on the personal reasons that forced him to step away from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 11 days during training camp. After his hiatus, Brady returned to practice and explained himself, kind of.

“I’ve played a lot of football in my day — a lot of practices, a lot of games, and a lot of seasons,” Brady said. “I’m ready to go.”

Brady did not, however, say much about the reason for his absence.

“It’s all personal,” Brady said. “You know everyone’s got different situations they’re dealing with. So, we all have really unique challenges to our life. I’m 45 years old, man. There’s a lot of s— going on. You’ve just got to try to figure out life the best you can. It’s a continuous process.”

Now we’re learning a little more on what’s going on with Tom, and it appears he’s having some issues stemming from his marriage.

There’s trouble in Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen paradise, multiple sources tell Page Six exclusively.

The model has left their family compound in Tampa, Fla., for Costa Rica following a series of heated arguments over Brady’s shock decision to un-retire from the NFL, while he has remained behind for team training.

“Tom and Gisele are in a fight right now,” a source tells Page Six, adding that this has happened before with the couple, but they have always reunited in the past.

While there is no confirmation from Brady’s camp on this report, rumors of Gisele being upset over Tom un-retiring have been swirling for months.

A second source says, “There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids.

“They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.”

Adds an insider: “They have a fiery relationship. Gisele is a bit hot-headed — she has that Brazilian heat!”

Earlier this year Gisele spoke to Vogue about relationships:  “I don’t think relationships just happen; it’s never the fairy tale people want to believe it is. It takes work to be really in sync with someone, especially after you have kids,” she said, adding, “His focus is on his career, mine is mostly on the kids.”

There are also reports from the very same Page Six article that Tom is looking pretty somber at practice.

Hard to imagine Tom and Gisele fighting about anything, but the man is human, even though he feels as if he’s some kind of football God.
