Mark Davis Would Welcome Colin Kaepernick With ‘Open Arms’

Raiders owner Mark Davis respects Colin Kaepernick.

Colin Kaepernick continues to try to make a comeback to the NFL, a league which he claims blackballed him following his controversial kneeling and stance on police brutality. Kaepernick has been dropping videos where he’s working with NFL receivers. Raiders owner Mark Davis was asked about Kaepernick, and he is ready to add him to his team.

That’s if the GM asks him to.

Of course that’s not going to happen, but it’s a nice gesture from Davis.

But owners are rarely if ever asked about Kaepernick. Recently, it happened. In Race in America: A Candid Conversation, a production of NBCSportsBayArea.com, host Monte Poole asked Raiders owner Mark Davis about Kaepernick.

“I believe in Colin Kaepernick,” Davis said. “He deserves every chance in the world to become a quarterback in the National Football League. I still stand by it. If our coaches and General Manager want to bring him in or want him to be the quarterback on this team, I would welcome him with open arms.”

The Raiders currently have three QB’s on their roster,  so Kaepernick to the Raiders isn’t going to happen.

But hopefully some team will take a flyer on him.  There are so many average QB’s who are backups, why not add a dual threat to your team.

I’m not holding my breath.
