Former NFL Coach Jeff Fisher Takes Issue With Ron Rivera Fining Jack Del Rio

Former NFL head coach Jeff Fisher is NOT happy with how soft the sport has gotten since his wildly mediocre reign in the league.

Last week, Rivera fined Del Rio for some controversial comments made about the January 6 riots at the Capitol Building.

Fisher — who played with Rivera on the famed 1985 Chicago Bears team — didn’t like how he handled the whole situation.

“But, you know, on first glance, I was a little disappointed in Ron, you know, I was teammates with Ron. And for him to come out and just as like some speechwriter wrote his statement and it’s not true,” Fisher told OutKick The Tailgate.

Check out Ron Rivera’s statement condemning Jack Del Rio below:

Since being outed in the NFL, Jeff Fisher caught on with the Michigan Panthers of the USFL season.

As it stands, the Panthers sit at a highly disappointed 1-8 in the inaugural season.

It’s hard to imagine Ron Rivera really cares what Jeff Fisher thinks. But perhaps Jack Del Rio has a spot with the Michigan Panthers if things continue to go south for him in Washington.
