Hue Jackson Used The Bengals Super Bowl Run As An Opportunity To Slam The Browns

Hue Jackson still has it out for the Cleveland Browns.

On Sunday, many on social media were lamenting the fact that the Browns’ in-state rival, Bengals, had gone through a much faster rebuild when they upset the Chiefs to book their ticket to the Super Bowl.

When Joe Burrow and the Bengals pulled off the unlikely comeback win in OT, Hue Jackson took to Twitter to congratulate the team.

“Great Freaking Job Bengals. Very excited for Mike Brown and his family and the city of Cincinnati! Champions of the AFC. Joe Burrow, is a beast. Someone give a game ball to Darrin Simmons. Best Special Teams Coach in the game,” Jackson wrote.

Hue Jackson then took it a step further, retweeting a post that slammed the Browns’ rebuilding effort.

During his 2.5 seasons as the Browns head coach, Hue Jackson went through some unprecedented losing. He finished his tenure with an abysmal 3-36-1 record.

When Jackson left to become a coach with the Bengals during the 2018 season, it was clear that Baker Mayfield didn’t want to maintain a respectful relationship with his former coach when he shunned him after a game between the two teams later in the year.

Now, Hue Jackson has accepted a position as the head coach of Grambling State University, while Baker Mayfield and the Browns continue to struggle to get over the hump.
