Drew Brees Injury Details Have Been Revealed

Drew Brees wants to make a comeback to the NFL, at least he wanted us all to think that.

The former New Orleans Saints QB had the NFL going nuts with just a mere mention of a possible comeback on Twitter.

The future Hall of Fame QB is reportedly one-and-done at NBC Sports after NBC doesn’t have much for him to do in regards to calling NFL games.

ESPN’s Ed Werder has given a little update on Brees. Apparently he just had shoulder surgery. .

“Knowing Drew Brees over the years, I do not take seriously his recent social media posts about unretiring to play QB in the NFL,” the veteran reporter tweeted. “For one thing, he had left shoulder surgery two weeks ago and would be physically unable to play until at least September or October, …”

The Saints are not going to even entertain Brees coming out of retirement, as it appears they’re ready to roll with Jameis Winston. Brees was getting linked to one other team, but that doesn’t seem likely to happen. Is it possible Brees was just dropping that hint so he would be back in the news cycle again??

Maybe he’s doing a little fishing for another job calling games…
