Deshaun Watson’s Lawyer Reveals Timeline On When They Expect to Hear From NFL

Will Deshaun Watson ultimately get handed down a suspension?

The former Houston Texans Quarterback met with NFL investigators last week regarding the sexual assault allegations levied against him by 22 massage therapists. The newly signed Browns quarterback’s lawyer, Rusty Hardin, is now giving out a timeline on when Watson will hear about the NFL’s decision on whether or not to suspend him.

Via Cleveland.com:

“We should know what their position is initially sometime in June, and then everybody will figure out if there’s going to be a hearing about it or can people work things out, or whatever,” Hardin told cleveland.com by phone on Friday evening. “The only thing that’s certain is that they want to try to get everything done this summer — and earlier than later in the summer. Past that, we don’t really have any firm dates or possibilities.”

It’s not a matter of if Watson gets suspended, it’s a matter of  when and how long he will be suspended for. The sooner this takes place the sooner everyone else can figure out what to do with Baker Mayfield. Plus all the sportsbooks are going to need to adjust the odds based on his length of suspension.
