Zion Williamson Reportedly Beefing With Pelicans Over Injury Status

Is Zion still too hurt to play?

Over the last few weeks Zion has been ramping up his play and he has also been with the team at Pelicans games. Zion is even dropping Dunk contest type throw downs before the games.

A few weeks back Zion’s stepfather chimed in, he claimed that Williamson would be playing this season.

That doesn’t look like it’s happening anytime soon.

According to a new report Zion and the Pelicans are at odds with one another as neither side can agree on the next course of action. According to Shams Charania, Zion wants to play basketball right now, but the Pelicans are not letting him.

With the postseason already started, it seems like the Pelicans want to sit their star for the year so he can come back fresh in October.

“Zion Williamson believes that he should be playing.. the franchise doesn’t wanna clear him & it’s hard to see him missing the entire year & then playing in the playoffs,” Charania explained.

If Zion is 100% healthy not playing him makes zero sense. You just never know what could happen down the road, and if the goal is to win a championship, why not increase your odds by playing Zion.

The guy is young, let him play ball.
