Ja Morant Has “Black Jesus” Trending After Selfless Act For Waitress

Ja Morant is trending for all the right reasons today.

When at a restaurant with a group of friends, Morant surprised his waitress by tipping her a whole $500 following their meal. During the encounter, the waitress slowly realized who she was dealing with, creating an incredibly wholesome moment.

Luckily, the whole thing was caught on video.

Today, Ja Morant’s teammate, Jaren Jackson Jr., made the astute observation that “black Jesus” was trending on social media thanks to his point guard.

Ja Morant is clearly enjoying his offseason after asserting himself as one of the very best players in the NBA this year.

Following the series loss to the Warriors in the playoffs, Morant made it clear that he was not afraid of Golden State or the success they’ve enjoyed with their current core.

You’d have to imagine Ja Morant is chomping at the bit to get back on the court next season. But for now, he’ll have to settle for the “black Jesus” moniker.
